I started out in my practice offering traditional counseling, eager and ready to make a difference in the lives of hurting people in my community. But when a couple in crisis came to me looking for help with their marriage, the challenges they were facing seemed way too intense and complex to handle in single-hour sessions. They wanted help, and they wanted help fast. There had to be a way to help them fast-track their recovery, some more intensive therapy options.

That’s when I found Hope & Freedom. The founder, Dr. Milton Magness, was offering these 3-day Intensives for sex addiction and betrayal trauma. I encouraged my clients to try it out.

I couldn’t believe the change I saw in them when they came back. The experience was truly life changing! With an intensive under their belts, the foundation was laid for me to provide ongoing therapy to support their recovery efforts.

I started sending more clients to Hope & Freedom, and more clients came back with incredible stories of growth and transformation. When I found out that Dr. Magness was training clinicians in this process, I hopped on a plane and went to train with him in Houston. I brought the Intensive Method principles back to my practice and began offering identical Intensives in my community.

In 2020, I became the president of Hope & Freedom. Today, it is my heart’s desire to see more and more clinicians empowered with this method of delivering therapy to clients, regardless of their professional specialty. Not only has it made a world of difference for my clients, it has changed the way I conduct my business and my life.
